Purifying our mind and making it harmonious and compassionate is one purpose of Meditation. Science behind brain wave seem to support this view but for experiential wisdom we have to practice meditation ourselves and become the evidence.
As Buddha kept saying until you witness it yourself it is not true for you no matter who said it even if Buddha himself said it. With regard to meditation “bhavanamaya panna” i.e. experiential wisdom is the key to advance in awakening.....🧘🏼♂️🧘🏼♂️🧘🏼♂️ 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
