10 WAYS TO PROMOTE STEEMIT IN THE GREAT EAST AFRICA COMMUNITY

Steemit is a platform that unites, interacts and enables people to share the good wonders that the world presents. I have been trying to analyse the progress that steemit Uganda has made during these few days and wonder if more work should be done to promote this platform in the whole east africa.

A friend of mine @jaraumoses told me that we should organise and plan a mass campaign in Uganda about steemit and make people knowledgable about this platform. i first resisted, but my spirit kept on telling me that as long as there is love in steemit then you can do it. I sat down planning on various formulars to make steemit popular in the whole east africa as bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies platform.

i know may be steemit whales or Dolphins have done it before but i still believe that more work should be done to make steemit a dominant cryptocurrency in east africa. @stephenkendal and @starkerz have done a great work promoting steemit in the United Kingdom, @jerrybanfield in The united States, @jassennessaj in phillipines, @reko from sweden, etc and I thought that may be I should think a little bit about promoting steemit in east africa. Steemians in Uganda always work together and make plans together to make this platform a successful. some of them did not understand well the games and gave up but the strong ones are still on the game. We believe that steemit is not a way of becoming a billionnaire in a few days but some steem dollars can be earn just by sharing a simple story or writing a simple article.

Then, why should we promote steemit in East Africa?

Simply because Steemit is a platform where someone learn and earn. i have just done four days in steemit but can't imagine on the great and mature lessons i got from steemit. From steemit, we do share our stories, find funny stories, chat with people, invest, write personal experience and develop great network. i have tried to look at all aspects of life and found them in steemit and ended the steemians enjoy twice through gaining some steem cents and learning. Just in four days i have managed to have 10 steem dollars which i did not work for but just through commenting and posting a little bit.

Then How should steemians spread Steemit in the whole east africa?

1. Through sharing: Though Steemians use this steemit platform they also have other platform such as facebook, instagram, whatapp and others. In east africa, at least seventy percent of people managed to open facebook accounts. Due to the reduction of data charges, i believe we can share more easily by posting on our facebook pages and telling people to share or participate in various meetings.

2. Through advertissing in different public places such as schools or Universities and even offices: Ou next year plan has the main focus to promote steemit at various private and public universities in Uganda. This campain started this year at Uganda Christian University and was successful and i am a result of that campain which was led by @jaraumoses and his team. We are planning to enlarge our campain at Makerere University, Chambogo, nkozi, saint lorence, Ndege University and other other public and private high schools such as seeta high school and others

3. Participating in community work: Normally States or countries do like communities that participate in community work and i think the east african steemians should also be part of the great community. This will have a goal to promote steemit by telling them the beauty of steemit and the various benefits either financially, socially or intellectually . In Uganda, community work can be like slashing some public compounds or picking gabbages from various public places, if steemians decide to participate actively with their banners i think it can bring a great success.

4. Through visiting orphanages, hospitals, vilnerable poeple, elders and others in need: I know many people will be asking why should you do it yet most of them can't spend even a single second online? that's is not a problem. The point is that we are changing people's life and may be in the future witnessess and broadcasting companies will reach to us and would wish to intervieuw us and i think that will be our greatest opportunity to share to the world the beauty of steemit.

5. through broadcasting: This option is so effective and leads to a great spread of the steemit gospel. Imagine steemit advertissement be watched before or during premier league games, then see how large people will join steemit. People do spend time on radio and if we just also decide to start publishing about the steemit communities in Uganda, Rwanda, kenya, Burundi, Ethiopia, Tanzania and other countries we can see this platform growing at a faster rate.

6. Just by telling your friend: This is the easiest way of promoting steemit. in fact, I even joined steemit through @jaraumoses. He just came to me and told me about steemit and i was like '' may be i should join'' as i tried once, twice and then the third time it was directly in my DNA. If we can use our mouth to spread the steemit gospel then surely we can take steemit far.

1. Just by using our talents as artists, young blogers, players, athlets, public speakers, singers and others: some of us believe in their God given talents either trough physical or intellectual activities. This can be an opporyunity to use our gifts and promote steemit to a higher level. In steemit Uganda we do have wonderful chess players, they are all admired at campus ( Uganda Christian University) and their influence can be a way of promoting steemit.

2. By informing them on steemit as an investment potential: Sometimes, i wonder why i didn’t join steemit a year back. We all in the group are regretting and wish we could join sometimes back. One steem dollar value has dramatically increased and still increases each moment. It becomes so valuable when we do exchange either in ugandan shillings or rwandese francs where we can find a huge fortune on our mobile money account. Bitcoin players have now known the game and East africa should also play a bigger part in accessing various investment opportunities.

3. By starting successfull projects: In Africa, especially East Africa we do admire successful people. This admiration is due to the successfull activities that they perform and the result they offer in their businesses and other activities. If all the steemians in east africa are united and are able to make wonderful projects that are admired by the community, then this can be a way to promote Steemit as many people will be motivated to join The great east African steemit community.

4. Finally, by donating free internet connections: This can be quiet expensive and we as a community should get out of the confort zone by making few sacrifices. For example, for starters, the east african steemit community can decide to offer free daily bundle for all new steemians so as they can all access steemit in a more confortable way. This will attract more people on the platform which will bring success to the community.
