Meet Greedcity. A Discord Game Where You Earn Crypto For Playing

Gaming will never be the same after the advent of crypto, now we can earn profits while enjoying any kind of games. Greddcity steps forward and leverages itself onto the awesome community of the steem blockchain.

Greddcity's concept is very much like Sim City's one, of course, the game is on its earliest stages and there are many features yet to be implemented. So far, it has picked up my curiosity, and I am readily testing it on their Discord Channel

Greddcity's has its own digital ($) asset, they are pegged to steem in 0.0001 ratio. Thus 10.000 virtual $ equals 1 steem. It means that if you got 10.000$ of virtual dollars you can cash out 1 steem, in order to do that you have to DM the Governor in the Discord Channel and execute the command to buy one steem (more on game commands ahead).

Also, you could boost your progress in the game by buying 10.000 virtual $ (or more) on the Discord channel, you will pay them with the equivalent on steem or another crypto. Again you have to reach the Governor with a DM in the Discord Channel.

Basic Commands List

!work: This command will give you money, from 1-5$ each time you activate, it has a cooldown of 1 minute before you can activate it again.

!bal: This command will give you the information of your financial status in the game, you can check somebody else's balance by adding their username, example: !bal greedcity

!dep: You can either have your money in cash or deposit it in the bank, if the money is in the bank it can't be robbed. With this command you can deposit your cash in the bank to keep it safe from burglars, there are multiple commands related to this one:

!dep all: deposits all your cash

!dep 500: you can replace 500 with the number you want to deposit

!withdraw: Works the same as !dep for deposits but in this case for withdrawals

!store: By using this command you can see which items are available for sale, read their description etc.

!buy-item: Using this command you can buy an item if you have the required amount of money in order to purchase it. example: !buy-item Chicken

!rob: Using this command you can try to steal other users cash, if you get caught you'll have to pay 10-20$. example: !rob greedcity

!lb: Here you can see who has the most money and in which place of the city are you

!bj: With this command you can play blackjack

!cf: Once you have purchased a chicken in the store you can bet on chicken fights. Example: !cf 100

How you make profit in the Game

The maths are rather simple, you divide the money you need to pay by the revenue per day for each item and you will have your ROI spawn time. Also, there are many interesting features such as the guild system or the rob command. A player could earn some coins if he/she gots lucky.
Many could say that it is not to much, but it is for free. And it is just fun ツ

I think this is a really interesting project. It is too soon to figure out if it will get viral or not. So far they have implemented only the Discord UI, but with a little boost from some developers, they could launch a mobile app or a webpage frontend. This will skyrocket their platform because the concept of the game is just awesome.
I will be testing it out for a while more and might write another post about it in the next few weeks.
