Josiah Paul-The Miracle Baby

Hello my steemit friends, I want you to meet my nephew Josiah Paul. My cute, jolly and handsome nephew. His name Josiah was named after King Josiah in the bible, and the name Paul was derived from the servant Paul, the disciple of Jesus.

Josiah is a hyperactive, playful and full of energy little boy. Little did others know that this child is a miracle baby. Josiah was born seven months earlier, due to her mom's condition. Because my sister's blood pressure was not stable, her doctor decided to take the baby out at eight months. He stayed at the hospital for almost a month because he was born a month earlier. Because he was born premature, the doctors had to monitor his condition.

This is Josiah a few months old. He was so tiny like the size of a shoebox.

Looking at him like this, I began to question God. His parents are both serving in the ministry, yet I ask, why does it have to be like this? But God in his unconditional love and grace, strengthened this little boy. Little by little he grew strong and after staying at the hospital for almost a month, he was ready to go home. It was an exciting moment for his parents to be able to bring their bundle of joy at home. He grew up so fast, and we did not notice, he already was a year older!!!

During his growing up years,, it was quite difficult because he was always getting sick and has been in and out from the hospital almost every month. Since he was born premature, his immune system is weak. During those times, I saw how God worked in the life of my sister's family. Despite the trials in life, they never gave up. They still served the Lord. And by God's grace, His provision was there all the time. During Josiah's toddler years, he cannot speak clearly so his parents decided to take him to the doctor. And there they found out that he has a delayed speech so he began his therapy at an early age. Little by little his speech improved and as he grew older, his going to the hospital became lesser and lesser. God totally healed him and even made him stronger.

Looking at him now, God has blessed the life of this child. God has been faithful in the life of my sister's family. And even blessed them abundantly. The trials they faced did not hinder them from serving the Lord. I praise God because Josiah is now seven years old and is presently being homeschooled. He is now a very strong, healthy and playful young boy and he can now speak very clearly. I believe that God allows things to happen for reason. We may never understand God's plans but we can always trust his heart. The life of my sister's family is truly an inspiration to everyone. True enough that when God works in our lives, it is always for a greater good and for His glory.
