Google deletes thousands of applications from PlayStore to protect privacy

Thousands of applications will be deleted in the coming months if they do not update the permissions needed for users. The reason for this change of strategy from the Mountain View company is to protect user data, also because of the new rules that came into effect last year with the GDPR [General Data Protection Regulation].
