Facebook, one of the most popular social media in the world, says they are putting forward the user experience to be able to use the platform safely, yet still be able to express comfortably.
"We have the tools and tactics to overcome, for example, fake news, or that could threaten safety," said Country Director of Facebook Indonesia, Sri Widowati, during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.
Globally, Facebook utilizes machine learning to detect the activity of an account or an incorrect information.
When meeting with the Ministry of Communications and Informatics some time ago, Facebook reported they have a feature of geo blocking, blocking by location, so that there will be content that can not be accessed in Indonesia.
"Geo blocking is one of the tools we have, not just for Indonesia, it is available to all countries," said Widowati.
Not just using the machine, CEO Mark Zuckerberg in May said it would add about three thousand people to help overcome the annoying content.
