Consolidation of the moving average trend lines below the price has put in a good support level, and resistance to the down side. In the last days of 2016, Golds 50 day MA crossed over the 200 day MA. A good indicator of a change in trend.
We can always hope. It's difficult to believe the technical data since it has failed to pan out over the last several years. But the current upswing does give encouragement.
