The View of History as a Prerequisite of the Historical knowledge

As with any other knowledge, the active part of historical knowledge is its subject - the historian. But as an active part, it is not an abstract fact; on the contrary, every historian is a product of his own age, and as such he takes in himself its characteristics of achievements and values. Further, as far as it comes from a particular social environment / group, the historian carries the values, the norms of that environment / group.

Finally, insofar as his life path is realized in his own unique unique form, the historian is the bearer of some specific knowledge, values ​​and experience he has achieved directly. That is why the historian's activity in the process of historical knowledge is always a definite activity. It depends on the cultural level of the epoch and, in particular, on the historian, as being of particular importance in this case, is the historical view of history. This view, according to Kanshiro, serves as a prerequisite for the historian's research work. A prerequisite that affects all its phases and levels. In the first place, the dominant or confessed view of history determines the cognitive aims and tasks of the historian, and through them the selection of historical material. Secondly, this view influences the arrangement or organization of historical events and processes which, in the cognitive activity of the process, has the character of a historical reconstruction of the past.

The view of history has a significant influence on the explanation of the already reconstructed events and processes. This explanation is always done from the positions of one or another understanding of the story, respectively from the positions of one or another original conceptual scheme. Recognizing the importance of viewing the history of the course of historical knowledge does not mean to preach any sort of subjectivism in the way we meet with Collingwood. Every view of history is historically a view / not a priori / and therefore brings the advantages and disadvantages of its time.

Of course, with the development of the practical and cognitive activity of the human being, enrichment of the presented ideas about the historical process and the historical knowledge achieves a higher degree of adequacy of the original conceptual schemes with which the historian works.However, any view of history is objectively put forward, which means that it is not an arbitrary and subjective structure, but rather a construction drawn on the path of the summary of historical practice itself. No matter how dependent on the view of history, historical knowledge is still characterized by a certain autonomy.
