Once, as they tell each other the dreams last night, the young man dies unexpectedly in the arms of his beloved. Andrea and her maid bear the corpse of the dead to his home, but the city guard takes them and the frightened maiden must explain what has happened. The city's manager wants to rape her, but she escapes him. Andrea's father manages to save her daughter, then proves her innocence, but the girl refuses to live again among the people and closes in a monastery. On the fifth day, the "fiat" Fiameta forces the storytellers to trace the lover of this lover who, "after a series of heavy and merciless misfortunes, has succeeded in achieving happiness."
