This morning when I was about to leave for work, I passed a residential area and saw a pair of chickens clawing at the ground. It looked like the two chickens were a couple because it was a male and a female and there were no other chickens around. The chicken is a native chicken.

Usually, native chickens will look for food in the morning, by tapping their claws on the ground. Usually they eat small animals such as worms, insects and so on. Sometimes they also eat grains, such as corn, rice or fallen human food scraps.

Sometimes the owner also feeds it with various foods such as leftovers or seeds. But chickens are animals that like to find their own food. Raising free-range chickens is easy. Sometimes they don't even need a special drum, except for the hen who will lay eggs because chicken eggs are prone to being stolen by animals such as snakes or foxes.

Keeping free-range chickens has its own advantages, including the owner being able to consume nutritious chicken eggs. Sometimes it can also be slaughtered to get the meat. And the free-range chicken meat is much tastier than the broilers from the farm.
