It's like LEGOS for adults!
This was a fun time, but work got done too. After years of playing with legos or playing video games like tetris, I finally got to enjoy some in real life.
Much like when I learned how to operate the mini-x, I got a quick crash course in insulated concrete forms and then was turned loose to get the job done! After a few more minor things, we'll be ready for concrete! Check out the video to see me in action!

Yup! I caught a couple of those videos too. Interesting how lives can overlap.
Been in the concrete business since 1993. When styrofoam forms first came out I think in the 90s, Maybe. I thought they were the future. I even got certified to install them. But I think I only did about three houses. I hope they make a comeback cuz they're a wonderful product. The only drawback when installing them is to make sure you have enough wooden bracing. Don't skip here. You don't want to have a blow when poring. It may seem like a lot but it's necessary.
Thanks for the advice. My neighbor across the street just built a big house out of him, and the same guy is helping me, so I hope we are good. I'll remember that though, and thanks again!
The way the rebar flexed in the video. I would say it's a number 2 rebar. I usely just Bend #2 by hand if I dont need sharp corners 😀

There are a lot of projects, but it'll keep me busy.
I am impressed with the ICF! It really is like giant lego! Are you using 3/4 or 5/8 rebar? I also like the idea of dropping more rebar down before you fill the forms up. (Are you sure you aren't part beaver?) This would be a real quick way to build a house. How does it compare to regular construction costs?
As far as construction costs, compared to what I'd have to spend in plywood to frame in some temporary concrete forms, this just seemed like the way to go. 1/2" rebar on this part.
