Paranormal Boom
Everybody has heard about the ghost shows on television. From ghost hunters to ghost adventures and beyond. We all like to watch them because of the thrill of it, not necessarily becase we 100% believe. Me, personally, I'm still not entirely certain and I'm a ghost hunter. I'm not talking 1408 type of ghost hunter, either. Just your average individual who wanted to seek out the truth for themselves. It was harder than it looked and far more boring.
The truth is, I have no idea what to offer in this blog, save for my personal experiences and opinions. I have been a ghost hunter since Ghost Hunters started on TV. I think I made it through two episodes before deciding to start my own ghost hunting team. It was hard work. Finding locations, finding, and affording, the equipment. I didn't have fancy Flir technology. I didn't have half the stuff they manage to come up with (and the majority of which I still look at questionably). I didn't walk up and down hills for 15 miles both ways just to get to my location, but you get what I'm trying to say.
Digital voice recorders, cameras with night vision, digital cameras, and my team. That's what I offered to the table. A no bullshit, no psychic/medium, paranormal investigation with no fees or expenses for the client. My team was featured on the news, in the newspaper, and on a few radio stations. We were definitely a decent group of ghost hunters that made a slight splash. I offered up what I knew. Growing up in a home that was more than likely, no wait... Definitely haunted, and continuing to grow up experiencing the things I did, something was out there. It was just a matter of figuring out /what/.
My team debunked a lot of hauntings. We did research on what specific man-made or natural phenomenon did to the human mind. EMF can actually cause hallucinations and a /lot/ of what people experience as paranormal, are simply just super high EMF readings near wherever it is they're seeing this stuff. Haunting in a bedroom? Well, sir, your clock is putting out insane amounts of EMF. Move it after we leave and we'll see what happens. 99% of the time, it worked.
I spoke to psychics who were fake, some who I am still amazed by. We spoke with other teams... Some who baffled me and others who made me outright laugh (not in their faces, of course.) We came up with our own theories and offered comfort and ease to those who were truly terrified because skeptic or not ... Something like that, in your home, while you and your children sleep, can disturb even the biggest skeptic. And it doesn't matter if /YOU/ believe it because they did. And we came there to help. We didn't /capture/ ghosts using proton packs. We didn't scream demon every time we investigated. And we didn't assume every piece of evidence was supernatural.
We worked our asses off to provide a good scientific investigation for those who requested our assistance. Sure, we investigated some places just for fun and to see for ourselves. But, we also offered our services to private homes, businesses, and more. If someone had an issue, we never offered to bring in our world-renown psychic. We never offered to bless a home or sage it. We found people who could provide those services for free and gave them the information. We worked with others in the community and found those we trusted.
We also found the scam artists and the people who call themselves an expert. See, my team never once considered ourselves an expert on the paranormal. Because, in our view, experts in paranormal can't exist. Sure, we can know the equipment and how to use it. But, we can never fully say that we're 100% certain what happens after someone dies. I've had experiences that say to me something is out there. But, to prove that to you ... To everybody else ... It's impossible because none of us will know until we go. I will provide my own evidence whenever I can or point you in the direction of where /to/ find it. I don't have a ton of it on this computer, but I may try and get my old HD working to pull the evidence off of it.
I can show you evidence until I'm blue in the face and you're bored to tears. It won't matter. So, if you're reading this little blog of mine. I'm going to retrace my experiences. I get sidetracked a lot. I repeat myself sometimes. But, if you stick around and you read what I've experienced. Maybe, just maybe, you might find your own interests piqued. You might find yourself questioning. Keep an open mind. It never hurts to grab a digital voice recorder, turn it on, and ask a few questions to the air. You might get an answer.
Feel free to leave questions in the comments. I'll answer as best I can, and this goes for any of my posts. Just know that anybody who came here just to be that keyboard cowboy will likely be ignored. I've had it all and I've heard it all. I know I'm crazy.
Thanks for reading.
