MINISTRY SUCCESS PREREQUISITES

15 MEDITATE ON THESE THINGS; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.
16 TAKE HEED TO YOURSELF AND TO THE DOCTRINE. CONTINUE IN THEM, FOR IN DOING THIS YOU WILL SAVE BOTH YOURSELF AND THOSE WHO HEAR YOU."
1 Timothy 4:15,16 (NKJV)

• Success in the ministry is a function of some basic key factors—the essential things required as a prior condition.
I. One of the major attributes of success in the ministry work is a heart or a desire to learn: "BUT YOU MUST CONTINUE IN THE THINGS WHICH YOU HAVE LEARNED and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them" (2 Timothy 3:14 NKJV).

• Someone in the ministry work who is not willing to learn, success would be a mirage to such (2 Timothy 2:15).
• Someone said: as long as you live on earth, you would always meet people who know more than you do in one field, area, or another. In other words, someone knows what you do not know which you would need to learn to get to where you are going, or to experience success.
• Thus, you must be humble enough to learn from different people, and about different things.
  a. If you stopped learning, you stopped leading. What you know makes you relevant in the Kingdom and puts you in the front to lead others (Psalm 32:8; Proverbs 9:9).
  b. Knowledge determines your place in the Kingdom. Knowledge confers authority on you (Proverbs 24:5).
  c. Knowledge also determines your reward. Because you would be rewarded based on the problems you are able to solve for others (Philippians 4:14-16).
  d. Also, what you know makes room for you.

II. Taking responsibility is another Important factor for success in the ministry work (1 Peter 5:2,3).

• Be serious with your assignment. Know one would do your work for you (1 Corinthians 9:16; 2 Timothy 2:3,4).
• You need Men, people, to accomplish whatever God has called you to do, however, you must know that no one would do your own part as you would, especially If you are the founder or pioneer of the ministry work (2 Timothy 4:5).
• Thus, be focus on your assignment and take it seriously. Do away with frivolities and be earnest or devoted to the work or assignment (Acts 20:28; 1 Timothy 4:15,16).

III. Know where you are going.

• Until you have a clear understanding of where your destination is, you may not be making any meaningful progress (Habakkuk 2:1,2).
• Meaningful progress started with having a clear direction.

IV. There should be a special tie between you, the sent one, and God, the Sender:
"AND HE WHO SENT ME IS WITH ME. THE FATHER HAS NOT LEFT ME ALONE, FOR I ALWAYS DO THOSE THINGS THAT PLEASE HIM” (John 8:29 NKJV).

• Cultivate the habit of staying long enough with God in prayer and fellowship (Mark 1:35; Luke 5:16; 6:12).

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

• Should there be any ailment in your body, such is cursed and completely rooted out in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
• You are made whole and completely delivered in Jesus' mighty name.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
