It's one month and seven days since we are in lockdown. There are millions of people in Bangladesh who lives in their daily earning. There's no need to explain how much struggle they are facing now to ensure even a daily meal.

The economy is freezing down, people are losing their job and earning sources, people are starving and we are not seeing any solution of this.

The government is taking the different initiatives to help the workers. Like distributing relief. But you know, it's impossible to reach millions of people in the short term. The situation is going unbearable day by day and another month of lockdown will ruin everything.

Nope, I personally don't support anti-lockdown protests. But there's no way to live like this. Especially when there are millions of people who are struggling to even ensure a single meal a day.

During every Mayday, we usually get to see a different political and non-political organization held rallies with thousands of workers and daily laborers. But this time it was totally different. I don't know how much they are helping now. Even if they want they couldn't. Because we need an active economy, not relief.

What can be the solution?

I always believe a long term plan is more beneficial. Unfortunately for different political and economic reason governments fail to ensure any long-term plan. Moreover, there's no insurance system for different large industries so they can provide salary/payment during emergencies.

Salary insurance, a proper listing of workers, passive earning source creation can solve an economic crisis.

And, there are reliefs to help support during emergencies. From commoners to government, from industrialists to sportsman everyone is contributing.

But as I was saying, relief will not solve anything. We need an active economy to make this situation better.

The government had to uplift lockdown on a small scale for this reason in different garments manufacturing areas, restaurants, large industries, and emergency supply organization. We have no other option.

May the situation gets normal soon, may we get to live in a virus-free world, may the struggle of the workers ends soon
