Night.
Night,
Who bids their evil?
All you do is lay your black velvet blanket over the sun.
You invite surreal illuminations;
the moon and the stars that shine brightly.
Night,
Who labelled you ominous?
All you do is hide man's face
just that you do it for both the good and the bad.
Night,
There were times that I felt vulnerable
weak and naked in the face of this world
but thanks to your black blanket,
I felt covered and safe.
Night,
all I want to say to you is "thank you"
for the times I needed to cry that you were my shield,
for the times I needed escape that you were my oasis.
Thank you for your time.
My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.
Still me,
My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.

The beauty of night time has been derailed over the decades due to the numerous artificial lights and city lifestyle. My favourite times during a visit in a remote area was the night life. In the absence of modern devices, the villagers gathered in the night and told stories and shared jokes. It was a beautiful scene.
Absolutely. I can relate to that too.
The poem explains the beauty of the night. Really loved it.
Thank you.
