If Only...
If stones could talk
What stories would they tell
The legends of old that are barely recognized?
If the sea could talk
What tales would they tell
Of ancient history that has never been told -
Stories that have never been heard?
Would they talk of the first humans
Or the first animals on the planet?
They will probably have all the answers
To all of our unanswered questions
If the land could speak
It might tell us how Adam and Eve lived
And how they looked like
If the seas could speak
They would tell us how
The flood covered the earth And maybe there were
survivors we don't know about
Or how the rest fought till they died
If we could discern the whispers in the air
What will they contain?
Would it be tales
From lands, we have never heard of
Or of desserts undiscovered by man
If trees could talk
What tales would they tell
About men who existed long
before our ancestors.
