You have to open your ears as well as your heart
Most people think with their hearts and leave out their heads
You need both when you are dealing with another human
Not being pessimistic in any way
Just as our backgrounds are different
As humans, we also think and see things differently
Never expect anyone to be completely honest with you
Even when you've always been honest with them
I guess we build ourselves differently
Just as we have different values and things that matters to us
Life deals with everyone in a separate ways
But that should never be an excuse
For anyone who holds their value true to heart
I've learnt that most people would do what pleases them
Deception flies all around for selfish gains
There are some things I can never do
There are some things most people would do
There are things I do that others can never do
That's life but deception is a mask that would fall off with time
You can run but you cannot hide
From the shadows that's creeping up beside you
Sometimes there is a margin running through your soul
But the truth is, you cannot hide it all
I would rather love and lost
Than to love under any pretence of any kind
Deception is real and watch out for the warning signs.
