The Light Princess

Legend tells of a young princess who was so pure and kind that she brought light to even the darkest of places. She was kind to all and brought joy to many, but sadly her light was deeply envied by those who could not have it. They tried to steal her light from her simply out of jealousy. In order to keep her safe, her father chose to hide her in the forest in a special cage that only the peurest of heart could open. She spent many of her days watching as many tried to open it and fail.

It makes me sad to think of the princess first having to deal with jealousy and then being locked in a cage. The story ends with her still in there after many days, but there is no indication that things didn't change in the future so we can have hope for our dear young princess!
