The Journey of Gauntlet
We hope you enjoy our weekly updates every weekend via the Gauntlet social media channels (Twitter, Telegram, Discord, Facebook, etc). We think it is adding a lot of transparency to what the Gauntlet team is doing to achieve their goals. We as usual would love to get your feedback on our journey so far.
Before we kick into this article, we want to encourage our readers, subscribers, and team members to complete our gaming and cryptocurrency survey. The data submitted will help us deliver precision products and services going into the future of the project.
The survey is a very comprehensive series of questions in key areas such as Cryptocurrency, Gaming, Preferencing, and Industry feedback. The results would be very beneficial to Gauntlet. The more surveys completed the better we can understand where users are at and where to take our future directions. We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete it. (We’re giving 5000 GAU in total prizes to lucky winners who successfully complete the survey).

Our Journey in 2021
This year was very much building on foundational work that was accomplished in 2020. We started 2021 listing on Kick ICO, a mainly Ethereum based fundraiser for up-and-coming cryptocurrency projects. The project failed to reach its expected target where it was decided with the consultation assistance of the CEO of Kick, to re-group and re-establish our Branding, Marketing & Prototype elements.
The goal here was very much to raise funds to build a first version of the client, aka ‘The Prototype’. We quickly realised this had to be our focus from now alongside the other suggestions given to us by Kick. We went back to work and spent time building a very basic foundation for our client and started to re-work our branding, marketing, and promotional plans for the future.
Our branding needed huge re-structuring and our brand presence was virtually non-existent. We spent the rest of 2021 despite global lockdowns and people on the team getting sick from COVID working on our purpose, mission, who we were, and our long-term vision for the platform. We emphasised the Play-to-Earn gamification model coupled with the message of empowering gamers everywhere to engage with a one-stop-shop for all gaming needs, Game and peripheral purchases, streaming, esports, and educational components that would make us stand out even more from the crowd.
Once we had our Brand and Branding outlined and approved by our core group we worked on our documentation including whitepaper, website, logo, and message to our audiences. We knew from the start of 2021 all this had to be done and although it took us time to do that, we are glad we did it as we are now positioned in the marketplace exactly where we want to be.
Our client took on a new fresh look and feel with V1 in the works and with ongoing support from our core team we drove ahead into 2022 excited and very hopeful for the year ahead. Were there adjustments to our roadmap in 2021 along the way? Yes, there were, many in fact however we always kept our eye on our main focus and original concept of Gauntlet.
The end of 2021 grabbed our wallet issues by the horn so to speak where we wanted to eliminate future PoS wallet update interruptions and announced that we were migrating over to the BSC chain starting in January 2022. So, internally we state that even though we didn’t have a client released or hit the gaming world with a storm in 2021, it was in fact our year. The work carried out in 2021 would catapult us well into success in 2022 and beyond.
To all those who assisted us, consulted with us organisations and individuals over the past 13 months we would like to extend a huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Enter 2022 :)
Where We Are Headed in 2022
Entering 2022 saw us conducting our swap from GAU coins to GAU BEP tokens which as of today has only eleven
days left before we fully and permanently close the doors on the Gauntlet PoS coin and its blockchain. The swap has gone extremely successful thankfully to date. Our next move was to get listed on Pancake Swap, a different type of exchange platform to the more traditional ones, however, it’s a huge project and only getting bigger and bigger and we are delighted to be listed on there.
Members can now sell their tokens according to liquidity and other factors. February will see us listed on another exchange called XeegeX which don’s the traditional types of exchanges that we would have listed on before. We are excited to partner up with them and really look forward to a very exciting future with them. The first quarter of 2022 is packed with deliverables that would make any project ooze with contagious excitement. Version 1 of the client will be released, our marketing and promotion will become very much streamlined, we will launch our first ESports Tournament and release a sneak preview of our anti-cheat system which we believe will be one of the best ones out there in the marketplace.
The first quarter is setting up for the next quarter where we got our eyes on the Deconomy exchange and perhaps other smaller exchange listings. We will continue with our marketing efforts and release version 2 of the client which will have a preview of our Gauntlet Academy. We will introduce the concept of our NFT marketplace and get busy releasing some of our mascot Mojo designs. Much more planned for this quarter too that isn’t listed!
As you can see some of the Q1 deliverables have already been completed and there is an action-packed year ahead and we believe it will all happen with very minimal adjustments. You can view our completed roadmap as seen above on our website https://www.gauclient.com
Let’s rock 2022 together. We appreciate all your feedback to date and welcome any further feedback that you may have. Follow us on our social media channels (Telegram, Twitter, Facebook, Medium, and others to come this year too!) and keep following our activities.
It's time to build something great!
