VISIT TO LONGWOOD GARDENS
Last year we took a trip to Longwood Gradens near Westchester, PA.!
Once the home of Pierre S. du Pont, it is now operated as a public garden.
In 1954 Pierre passed away and upon his death the estate was "donated" to the Longwood Foundation.
One of may favorite areas is the Children's Garden. It contains some really neat bronze sculptures.
Peacock and serpent.
Lovely fountains
Entering into the dungeon!
After that creepy sculpture she needed a little levity.
The Red Dreadlocks Plant ;)
If you are ever in southeast PA don't pass up a chance to visit Longwood Gardens, it is a truly amazing place.
