Here's a Garden Made Out of Trash!
This discarded 55 gallon drum serves as an excellent planter for us now, and we have over a dozen healthful plants thriving in it!
We cut squares out of the side to make more planting area, then filled the entire thing with dank soil enriched with the compost we make out of yard clippings, brush, food scraps from our sustainable kitchen, and overripe produce from the farmer's market.
Container gardens are fantastic for saving space, and they're also very efficient for watering.
Just one more way we save hundreds of thousands of trash from the landfill each year!
SUSTAINABILITY FTW!
