Spring veggie garden

Spring garden is in!!

In NSW we have had a bit of lingering cold and frosts, but i figured if i kept leaving it, we will bypass spring and be in summer all of a sudden, with nothing ready.

I had prepped the backyard for the garden beds, and had to go new soil [i had reused soil for the past 2 years but it was a point it was pretty much dead soil, this new soil will last me another few years] so myself and @mfxae86 went to bunnings to look at soil and what veggies, herbs and flowers we wanted [flowers for the bees to entice them to come pollinate my stuff!]

Ended up with climbing peas, 3 different types of tomatoes, celery, broad-beans, and capsicum for the veggies, curry-plant, basil, parsley and bay-leaf for the herbs, and many many flowers! Who doesn't like colour in their yard?

May have gone sliiightly overboard with the plants in comparison to the space i had to plant into , but you can always make room for more plants :)

I reused an old shade-cloth for weed-mat, tried to reuse and recycle as much as i could to keep the costs down. I also reused the sprinklers from my old irrigation, although i did get a new hose to run across the fence. Apart from the soil and the plants themselves, and the hose, i have not had to purchase anything else which is great :)

Now we have got the irrigation up and running it waters itself twice a day and we don't need to worry about it, it takes care of itself!

Grow baby grow =^_^=
