My 3 venus fly traps (carnivorous plants)
I have 3 venus fly traps at their 3 stages of life.
A baby. A mid developed. A fully developed.
This is especially cool to see because they take a VERY long time to fully develop. I now have one from each level of development.
^^This is what a baby looks like at 1-3 months.
The small mouths will open and more and more will begin to take shape.
After some time you will see the plant develop more and more leaves and the leaves turn into mouths
As you can see some of the mouths end up dying and they turn black and seem to be rotting away. There can be many reasons for this from root disturbance to an over fed plant. In our case we transferred them all into larger pots. We expected some loss.
After the plant fully matures it will have many mouths and the plant will have a tropical red and green look.
