Peppers Reborn - Weeks After Overwintering

After pruning all the foliage off of several pepper plants, and placing them under a grow light powerful enough to get them growing again, they indeed began to pop with little shoots of greens.

Very tough to tell from the purple tinting of the photo but the leaves are deep green and now the Jalapeño plant I overwintered has grown back enough to start pumping out flowers.. I counted 5 flowers. And the bell pepper has also begun to form the beginnings of flowers which turn to peppers after pollination.

And there are a couple gnats it seems that would potentially pollinate the peppers when ready.. so time will tell, but I know I can self pollinate them too.

I also planted some lettuce seeds, spinach, basil and cilantro. Hope to see them grow big and edible in time!

Continuing the concept of bringing life into this world. Our baby is due the end of March, for those incquiring minds.
