Garage Rock with 12-String Guitar - If I Was Gone, by The Trademarks

in #garagerock6 years ago

Here's some jangly guitar goodness from Oak Park Michigan in 1967! It was recorded by 4 lads on the Palmer label out of Detroit. This song is fairly fast and has a driving rhythm section with strong bass, buried drums in parts but someone added a tambourine in spots. It sounds like the guitar is a 12 string, based on the jangle factor!

So what would the girlfriend do if he was gone?

What would you do if you found out I was gone? Would you want to cry and be alone?
What would you do? What would you do? What would you do? If I was gone! If I was gone!

If I left would your world cave in on you? The would all your hopes and dreams fall through?
What would you do? What would you do? What would you do? If I was gone! If I was gone!

Cool but short 14 second guitar break

What would you do? What would you do? What would you do? If I was gone! If I was gone!

These things were asked with one main purpose in mind. What would you do if I left you far behind?
What would you do? What would you do? What would you do? If I was gone! If I was gone!

Get on your dancing shoes and get out your tambourine and jump and shake along to this!
