Game Watch Dogs 2: When A City Is In Hand

in #gaming6 years ago

You are a hacker. With a mobile phone and portable computer, you can hack almost the entire city infrastructure. In fact, you can eavesdrop and read sms people. That's the concept of the game offered Watch Dogs 2.

Had been viewed by gamers because of its predecessor, Ubisoft game is now even praised as one of the best open world game. Different from most open world games where you have to complete one mission to open other parts of the city. At Watch Dogs 2, you've been able to explore all of San Francisco since the beginning of the game. You even sail across the ship to the island of Alcatraz and its famous prison.

In Watch Dogs 2 you are no longer playing as Aiden Pearce, a character in the previous series. Ubisoft this time introduces a new "hero" named Marcus Holloway aka Retr0. The theme is also very much different from the Watch Dogs. If first Aiden has a major mission of revenge for the death of his nephew, this time Marcus just want to dismantle conspiracy digital-digital companies are headquartered in Silicon Valey.

The game, released in mid-November, opened with the efforts of Marcus and DedSec, a hacker gang, which infiltrated the 2nd generation ctos server. The goal, deleting Marcus's criminal record. He was furious because he was accused of doing something he did not do.

Apparently, Marcus is "idle". He not only deleted his criminal records. Marcus even planted a back door on the ctOS 2.0 server so he and DedSec had access to almost all the infrastructure and personal tools in San Francisco. Once, in a game with the San Francisco setting for the next few years, all electronic devices-even cars-are connected with ctOS 2.0.

Departure from this personal unrest Marcus and DedSec agreed to drop Blume, the company behind ctOS 2.0. The initial reason is simple, these young people think Blume has gone too far into the private realm of public. Later, you will also be told the story that there is a conspiracy between this company with political parties and even the FBI.

To drop the Blume, players must collect millions of followers. Marcus had to complete every mission to gather as many followers as possible. There are many different types of missions in Watch Dogs 2, some of which are major (related to dropping Blume), side missions that come from side-by-side missions, intelligence missions (spying people), or Uber driver shuttle drivers.

There is also a side mission where you become a photographer. His job collects photos of San Francisco land mark. One photo even requires you to climb the Golden Gate to take a picture of the city from above. Or look for zombies in the cemetery.

Affairs followers become important life in this game. Because, Marcus is required to collect what is called a research point to increase the ability to hack. The number of followers is directly proportional to the number of research points you have.

At the beginning of the game, the ability to hack Marcus is very limited. He can only set up electric traps to paralyze guards or steal money from someone's account. In fact, at the beginning of the game you will not be free to steal a car parked. Because the alarm system will sound and potentially invite the police.

To add this hacking ability is Marcus must collect research point. Any amounts collected successfully, Marcus can add retasnya power in the research tree. In total there are seven "tree of knowledge" that Marcus can grow to increase his skills. Each tree has twigs.

Well, Watch Dogs 2 gives you the option of being a Marcus. There are at least three options. First Marcus as a killer. This type relies on gun wars. The type of Marcus who gunned his rifle as he had to nest the enemy's nest.

The second type is silent. Marcus came and paralyzed the enemy unnoticed. A bit difficult indeed, because there are some missions with super strict guard. And the last type, as well as my favorite, is Marcus as a ghost. Where he relies on all the equipment to complete the mission without touching the guard.

There is even a type of ghost research tree type that can "send" the police to come to a gangster headquarters or vice versa. So they fought each other, while Marcus sat quietly.

Although there are three "Marcus types", basically Watch Dogs is not the kind of game that requires you to complete the mission in one style. You can combine them all. The tip: the more research trees you master, the more easy it will be to complete the mission.

Because the research tree is so important, we advise players not to rush to complete the main mission. Play around on a side mission to get a lot of research points. Or you can explore the whole town to collect research points. A few tips, usually the research point is in tall buildings or towers.

I myself am only serious in the main mission after successfully opening access to the entire research tree. It feels worth lingering on a side mission to get the satisfaction of completing the main mission without sweating.

In addition to research point business, Marcus is also equipped with drones and remote control car. Both are very helpful in all of Marcus's mission. Drones, for example, can be used to map the guard's position to appear on the map. Or to hack existing devices on high locations.

Both of these items are not available for free. Marcus must buy it at DedSec headquarters. My suggestion at the beginning of the game directly collect money to buy these two items. A little leak, one "branch of the knowledge tree" even gives the ability to drone and RC Car Marcus to install explosives or electric bombs.

The installing part of this is my favorite explosive. Tips, Marcus stands outside the red area and live drone or RC movement to the enemy headquarters. Attach the bomb and destroy it. Done. As long as you do not carry a gun or are in a red area, the enemy combing the location will not attack you.

rusan money is not a difficult matter at Watch Dogs 2 because you can take from someone's account. I was so easy to earn money, I myself do not know the function of this money in Watch Dogs 2 in addition to buying clothes or fancy luxury cars. Because there is no mission that requires you to have a lot of money.

Watch Dogs is worthy of thumbs up for the graphics aspect. Details of the city of San Francisco illustrated nicely. Interior inside the house can also be thumbs up. The detail stuff like people's shadow is also precision. You can even enjoy the sunrise and sunset in some corners of the city.

Ubisoft even added a gimmick in San Francisco residents roaming around the city. For example, when Marcus will selfie, ujug-ujug there can be people who participate nimbrung. Or when there is a pre-wedding photo session, you can anger them with nylonong in between. In fact, someone can bully you because of accidentally hit them while walking.

Marcus could easily eavesdrop on the conversation or read their sms. But this does not have anything to do with game morale other than just knowing what they are talking about. Perhaps Ubisoft can learn from the game "InFamous Second Son" made by Sucker Punch Production. Where the moral affair - in the game that also carries the open world is called karma - determine what the character in the story.

Marcus also had the option of beating people on foot, shooting at them, or blowing up cars to inflict panic and lure the police. This part always reminds me of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, the childhood of the rental. But, it's also useless to shoot people on the street because you are basically a hacker not a thug.

The romp with police at Watch Dogs 2 can be said to be easy if you know the gap. I myself always run to the sea and steal the ship. Therefore, the police ship is relatively few in number compared to the car and will be easier to run because of minus obstacles.

Well, if the level of hackers you are still geeky should not try to beat people just to get chased by the police. Because, when your hunted star reaches level 3 upwards, there will be a helicopter with snipers who strafe you. Plus, all the gangsters in town will hunt you down. Fuss.

The weakness of this game is just a matter of storyline. There is a hole that feels when you complete one mission and go on to the next. Later, there will be a mission in which one member of DedSec died as a gang member was killed. You retaliate by destroying the bandits. But when it's done, the gangsters are still there.

Overall, Watch Dogs 2 is very fun to play. Open world concept that really open from Ubisoft deserve thumbs up. Freedom of the player to choose to be Marcus like what is also a very brave idea.
