With so many games available for the PS2, there are bound to be a few shit ones that can't be explained away.

The PlayStation 2 is an awesome console that lasted beyond the PS3 and PS4 releases. There are over 2500 games created for the PlayStation 2, there have been some good ones, bad ones and those that should end up in the desert like the Atari ET games from the early 80's. Games are developed all the time, but there are the odd Darwin award winners that think they can make a game.

Here are 5 of the worst PlayStation 2 games ever!

5 – Bad Boys, Miami Takedown.

It wasn't that long ago it seemed that when ever there was a huge Hollywood film made, you could almost guarantee that a game would be made to try and cash in further. The problem was that most games based on films are absolute shit.
The Bad Boys film with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, wasn't half bad, but when the game was released, it was just plain bad. The voice acting for the 2 main characters Mike and Marcus was worse than the voice overs in the original Resident Evil. The comedy is flat with no sense of timing and was just pure cheese. If you want to spend hours just shooting painfully bad animated enemies that have even worse AI, then this is for you.
It is another game based of a film that fell short and just kept falling out of memory as it is easily forgettable.

4 – Catwoman.

Another game that was made just so corporate dicks could cash in from a Hollywood film. The only problem is that the film is hilariously bad, and even Halle Berry's tits and ass in a skin tight suit couldn't save it, so just imagine how bad this game is.
The graphics within the game are probably the only redeeming quality the game has for its time. Everything else is just poor. The animations of the characters are very bad, the NPC AI is just the worse, and actually reminded me of something from an early NES game. The endless fighting and roaming is very boring, limited and felt very repetitive. The biggest problem came in the controls for the game, there is massive lag from you wanting to do something, to something happening, they felt very restrictive and clunky. Finally the voice acting... if you can call it that.
So even a virtual Halle Berry's tits and ass couldn't even save this game either.

3 – Beverly Hills Cop.

It seems most games that are bad are mostly based on Hollywood films. And true to form, even though this game was 20 years past the films release, it is still as bad as you would think it is.
The original trio of films with Eddie Murphy were just the best and are routed in 80's pop culture. Fantastic films that made my childhood worth living. But the game has gone and crushed it by being mere shadow of what the films were.
The game was made as an FPS to cash in on both the name they slapped on the box and the FPS craze that plagued the 2000's, but it didn't work. The graphics were ultra blocky and out dated, even for the PS2. The sound effects could make your ears bleed, the animations are beyond bad, AI is even worse, and the only thing that remotely resembles the films was the piss poor story.
Its a wonder why anyone bought the game at all, they just butcherer an 80's icon.

2 – Charlie's Angles.

I swear to you, I am not doing this on purpose. Another film, another bad game. Charlie's Angles film from 2000 was OK. But lets face it, it didn't set the bar high for anything to come after it, and the film was forgotten about by many. Then came the game 3 years later, which is remembered for being hilariously shit.
Maybe even the developers knew exactly how crap the game is so they decided that the ''Angels'' should appear in nothing but a bikini. Well, it didn't work. The animations were beyond what I would call crap, although the graphics were OK I guess, everything else just seemed to be far to ambitious for the development team and they could not pull it off. With stiff controls, poor voice acting and a story that makes as much sense as having teeth pulled out with a jack hammer.
That thong is not fooling anyone.

1 – Little Britain.

I do not understand why the masses seem to like the TV show with the same name. Just a bunch of idiots, some in drag putting on the most stupid voices with acting abilities of a 2 year old shitting themselves after a curry and a beer. Is it any wonder why most of the actors who appeared in the show have a career that's more dead than a rotting zombie?
The game is no better, and actually reminds me of Paperboy for the Atari. The mini games are all equally meaningless and all I can see is the game has taken voice clips from the show and inserted them into the game because reasons.
The game, just like the show, has less comedic value than a stripper at a funeral, the game play makes no sense, the entire game feels lifeless and just a complete mess.
How this game made it to the shelves is something only Satan will know. Surprisingly, here in the UK, it sold over 200'000 copies. Just goes to show that TV will melt anyone's brains to the point of lunacy.
If I had the option, or if it was a zombie apocalypse, I would hunt down the development team and publishers and gladly shoot there dicks off with a confetti shotgun, just to show them what comedy with a sense of irony looks and feels like.

I hate doing lists like this. In order to do them, I usually grab an emulator, research bad games, download the game files and play them each for about 15-20 minutes to get a scene of what the game is about, what it looks like and how good it is over all.
Each time I finish these lists, I feel like that's 2 and a half hours of my life I won't get back because the games are just that bad.
Now if you will excuse me, I will be swiftly deleting these games and play something worth while and enjoyable instead.
