We continue our blind playthrough of Metro Exodus on PS4 live on twitch starting right now. This is the fourth part of our playthrough and I'm not going to lie I am getting a little tired of this game. The first Metro games were great and completely linear but this game has added open maps and optional sidequests. Usually that would be a welcome addition but considering how finite resources are and the fact most of the mutant enemies don't drop any ammo or crafting supplies, I find it too costly to stray far from the route to my main objectives. This is probably the most stressed I've been playing a game like this since playing The Last of Us on the harder difficulties. Hopefully I get through this game soon and can move on. Finally beat this game today. It was quite a slog and there are a number of game mechanics that really irritated me throughout. Unless you really enjoy scavenging games I wouldn't recommend it. Overall it was an average game at best, offered nothing new, had some control issues and most of the characters were pretty forgettable.
