If you happen to have played Gothic and Risen games from Piranha Bytes there is a chance you might be interested in ELEX, a new game from Piranha Bytes. The style of the game is the same as Gothic and Risen with big sandbox planet of Megalan to explore in a brand new Science Fiction meets Fantasy, with a dose of Postapocalyptic setting. This is an RPG so you can expect multiple factions to chose from and each faction will give their own perspective about their way of life. There are four distinct factions in the game that use ELEX, a potent new element that came from the comet that almost destroyed the world of Megalan.

You can use jetpack to travel around, use futuristic weapons, or use standard sword and shield, you can even use magic, there is something for everyone. I just hope the RPG progression system will be fun with cool unlocks along the way. From technical perspective the game looks great, but the animations kinda look outdated and wonky, that might be one bad aspect of the game which can be a serius flaw for some gamers, not for me though. The game is actually coming out tomorrow and I'm pretty excited about it. Who knows how will ELEX end up to be, it might be too chaotic for it's own good, but we shall see.
