POKÉMON LET'S GO, PIKACHU!

The Pokémon series is traditionally reserved for Nintendo handhelds such as Gameboy, DS or 3DS. But Switch is on course, and when he gets a full-fledged work, he is interested in an interesting twin inspired by 2016 fireworks when he was Pokémon Go and using AR we caught the Pokémon on the beach, in the shopping center or in the swimming pool.

The novel is somewhere in the middle between the new stream and the original series that some love for twenty years. Veterans will look for as many classic elements as possible and initially scratch their teeth over new, relatively simplifying principles. For newcomers and players willing to experiment with the Pokémon formula it will bring more entertainment to the newest, at least in the first 15 hours, because each formula is once in a nutshell and this time the game can be varied, depending on the challenges and locations.

There was not much to invest in the story, which may be a pity on Sun / Moon and its Ultra versions. It is enough to have a boy who has matured until he can start wandering around the world, catching Pokémon and going away from home just to find ever more rare species. At the beginning, you choose and name his companion, even if you have a good friend with a similar goal, you are driving around the world and sometimes you come across him to measure strength, get advice, or give him a good subject. But the rivals will find themselves in the world - right now in the second town, there is the ardent Team Rocket, who searches for something valuable, kicks up a rare fossil and sends you to several fighters. There is also an elite quadrant and, as you expect, you go to places, defeat the gypsy bosses to get all the badges and move on to the winning route.

The world of Kanto itself has come back from the Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow era, with some towns or locations well-known for the sailors. And for all the others there is good news: Kanto has inspired Japan and everything works naturally. The first view of the world map is a bit deceptive, you feel there are only a few places and roads between them, but when you start playing real, you will not have any doubts about the scale. You do not even have to think that you will quickly blow up all the gymnastics. Though it seems optically that you can handle the first two or three cities and get into the rest of the map, it gets hard, some places are inaccessible or you arrive at a junction and the transition will be slowing. It is a pleasure to discover the world, and the different locations are interconnected - there are cities, caves and uncrowded road numbers. When you start wandering, you will discover some types of obstacles that ask for special Pokémon moves (pick up the tree) and you will get them gradually. For example, trying to get through a tunnel, or else snuggle the big Pokémon, try to go somewhere. You'll even get the chance to choose from two ways - the game, however, respects your level so you do not get shocked by 20-level Pokémon attacks.

The biggest change came in the Pokémon Go catching gear. The hero wanders around the world when he sees the Pokémon run, he can run on it (even vice versa) and start the capture sequence. It has the character of a clear mini-game, where you try Pokeball by kind and watch a diminishing circle. If it is green, catching is easy. If the yellow-orange, heavier-red color means a hard-to-catch species. You can bribe the Pokemon with the object to change the circle to another color or make it more permissive or less wild. Or you can use better quality Pokéball - besides the basic kind Ultra and Great Some types are brazen and jumping on the screen, then you are trying to shoot the Switch or the driver in the right direction not to listen to you. When you throw the ball in the right direction (and the Pokémon does not start), the Good to Excellent rating will appear. Even Excellent is not a guarantee of success, after a moment of ticking, the ball can break out and catch it from the beginning. You will not catch the other species for five strokes; Happy-end is when the ball is lit green, ticking and you have it!

Catching is one of the essential sources of experience gains. The entire current six Pokémon part will be captured for the capture. Leveling can be done only by walking around the world, gaining the Pokémon and gaining experience in the catching process. You never know who you are, the zones have reserved levels, for example, 13 to 18. Occasionally you see the map or catching the Pokemon in a blue circle (cruel, perhaps with a lower level) or in red (wild, high chance). Others are like roulette / you never know what you get. And be careful! Even the fact that you get a high-level species does not guarantee a lot of experience. Mostly there are huge portions for debut (you catch a new kind of Pokédex) or a particularly hard piece. Sometimes you'll miss two minutes, and barely 100 exp.

Catching uses the whole world. Journeys between towns or caves are ideal for long grinding when you are trying to improve the whole set at once. Personally, I level the sixth, change it to another, and I am grinning further. You do not have to worry about letting some Pokémon go away voluntarily, because catching supplies. The Pokeball costs 100 bucks, and even later, the rewards are loser to thousands, if you have to spend 4-5 gouls on the average type that will give you little experience, it is not terno. If you are trying to secure money, catching it is an unlimited pool of experience. In addition, you have another motivation to catch: Catch combos can lead to rare species. No piece gets lost - just send it to the native town, which sends a subject to improve the profile of the publisher.

The second way to gain experience is to fight. You will find mostly at the beginning of the site, and you will also often be asked by a friend. Otherwise, different active characters are waiting on the roads or places, as soon as you touch them in order to start a conversation, the battle begins. You are waiting for the correct pull classic: you put your half against your opponent. From the beginning, there is one Pokémon against you, later two or four. Competitors have different types, you are trying to control them and have a better kind. Not only the level of the level, but also the kind (not the small pinnacle lvl 15 causes problems to the lvl 25 because it reveals its weaknesses). Electric, psychotic, water, fire, grass, etc. There are various kinds of Pokémon and there is something different for everyone. You are trying to find and against the opponent to put on someone who resists: initially I have had problems with the water Pokémon, whose water gun has fired more than half of my species until I have shifted to a good type. Fighting takes place on the moves, you select one of the appropriate strokes. Usually you have four of them and have a limited number of uses, but you do not usually run out of it. Active Pokémon will gain more experience for the fight than passive in the game, it is good to turn the whole six. I'm less resistant to me, the golden center will come later, and Pikachu will come to an end.

After each fight, you will gain experience, pennants and occasional items (Pokéball will always happen). A good fight will train you, with a taste you will come to the higher levels and find out who is suitable for. Fallen fighters get nothing, it is advisable to end a fight with at least a few HP. It is good to replace not only halts in the fight, but all active if you do not decide to resign and some types do not train. At least to level 20, I've tuned all and then fought a fight to avoid just stronger types. Variability is going to happen and then I feel like I have a weak grassy Pokémon or I need someone against the electrical ...

Pokédex has a place for 153 species, which is not much to look at, but it is enough classic. There is also no evolution, so about the 10th level will begin to change the first species, from dirty clouds or centipedes are suddenly fighting butterflies. Another measure comes between the 16th and 20th grade, and the 30 to 40 range is fairly straightforward. Thanks to them you still have a lot of fun: not only do you want to catch them, but also train them all. And you do not even have to miss the fight to fight - not to reach the higher level the game asks whether you change one property to another ... It is good to have action, defensive and special, especially enemies love combo defensive defenses and massive assault. And do not just sit on one or two Pokémon types because the first robust maker will stop you ...

In the world, you are catching Pokémon and fighting with characters, smaller coaches and Team Rocket. Naturally, the gymnastics system also impresses with fighting bosses. You will usually get to it through hops (also warm-up fights) and then a boss that has a very large patch of Pokémon and streets is a solid challenge. Occasionally I've also put down 10 levels of lower types and I have managed to fight, but I saved the trained ace. Trainers have to be defeated in each city, you get a badge for each and if you have enough, the winning way to the finals opens.

After a third, the game opens a bit, gives it more or less training or burning. You get characters from other parts of the series, overall you have a good feeling. It's hard to say the game has partially changed the system. After so many years, it is plus that wild beats have disappeared and the catching system has been replaced, and the authors put the emphasis on it. It is a good thing that the thrust fights have remained in good shape. In the final you get a combination of new and old. It is not at all easy to see that the series can move in other ways.

Switch platform game sits. Beautiful graphics, good music, 4.1GB size, and various control schemes. If you want a handheld title, it's easy to go through it with a large display, touch control and skillfully mapped buttons. If you play on the TV and fumble with Joy-Con drivers, you can sometimes get caught while catching the Pokémoni as they get out of the screen and are not easy to focus on. Deciding a different style is to play with Pokéball: a stylish ball as an add-on suitably sits in the hand and moves it (safe throwing because you have a lace on your wrist) lapse untouched. It also has a small diode that copies the action on a virtual ball and vibrates, so when you finally get caught, it flashes green, it vibrates and you get a better sense of getting. Accurate control of the other elements asks for a compromise - all you have to do is just one lever and a button, but if you get used to it, a simple version is going to be fun.

Pokémon Let's Go is a long-running series of solid steps to the side. Not a loser, he has used some mechanisms to the full and mixes the old (the combat system) with the new (catching Pokémon and gaining experience). You can endure it for 40-50 hours and the world will impress you because the movement is well thought out. Even after the first third, you will reach the strong wind of grinding and it is a well-known ride to the end. And then you will find that it is not as deep as basic titles, though the motivation to make it will never leave you.
