Slay the Spire Daily Climb 08/27/2018
Slay the Spire is a unique game which combines roguelike and deck-building mechanic. Players need to build a powerful deck as they climb the spire to beat the game. There also also events and relics that may aid or obstruct you which makes each run feels different.
This is a quick write-up of my successful attempt on today's "Daily Climb" gameplay mode.
The modifiers of the day:
My deck after finishing the run:
While being treated as negative modifier by the game. I find the Insanity and hoarder modifier beneficial especially when the two are combined. This run is proof of that. Ended up with a deck that does everything on the Defect.
Consistent offense? check. (Barrages + Core Surges + Rip and Tears)
Consistent defense? check. (6 Stacks + 10 Holograms on 136 cards deck! in additon to other defensive cards)
Scaling focus? check. (Consumes + Orb Inserter)
Scaling defense? check. (from frost orbs)
Scaling offense? check. (Claws. Blizzards and Thunder Strike)
Power Stacking? check. (White noises)
Upfront defense? check. (Boot sequences + Chill innate)
Orb generation? check. (Rainbows, Coolheadeds, Cold Snaps, and Doom and Glooms)
Artifacts? check. (6 Core Surges!)
Energy generation? check. (Aggregates on 136 cards deck!)
Great card draw? check. (2 Machine Learnings innate + Overclocks)
Despite having 136 cards this deck is extremely consistent. Won against The Champ and The Awakened One without losing any HP. Awesome run.
