Game Review - Book of Demons
This game is a tribute to the original Diablo game, but it does things in a whole different way.

Book of Demons is a Hack & Slash Deck-building hybrid in which YOU decide the length of quests. Wield magic cards instead of weapons and slay the armies of darkness in the dungeons below the Old Cathedral. Save the terror-stricken Paperverse from the clutches of the Archdemon himself!
Review
Gameplay comes in the shape of roguelite dungeon crawling, where there isn't really a grid, but corridors. You only walk following a randomly determined path, which is great because the game doesn't aim to be hardcore. The journey is long, but you can set your next session to be only a few minutes or over an hour long, so you can reach hell at your own pace.
Mouse & keyboard, keyboard-only and gamepad controls are all good options to enjoy the card-equipment / card-magic action where your tactics will determine wether you reach the next set of stairs or not. Level up and upgrade your card-loot to grow stronger than your enemies. This is all in real time, though, so you should think wisely before coming close to the next group of hellspawn wanting to kill you.
Campaigns take place in a breathtaking tabletop and action figures world. It has a Paper Mario-ish isometric look, with brilliantly executed presentation. This thing is beautiful and intuitive, from the artsy town menu to the bosses and enviorments. You'll have a blast.
An in-depth and challenging experience awaits adventurous deeds, as cards can be discovered and throughly upgraded, which will be useful against a great variety of monsters ready to catch intruders off guard. Even if the first few levels feel casual, the legions of hell will prove a deadly threat as you descend, specially when it comes to the region guardian - like The Butcher.
