[VIDEO] #RPG Grim's Gaming Guide: Historical Gaming

Images property of @grimjim

When you play tabletop roleplaying games you almost always found yourself immersed in a world of fantasy, dragons, warriors and horny bards with epic quests and everything, but what if you want to put a twist to that and roleplay in a historical setting? Here's where @grimjim's post comes into play, an extensive talk about the pros and cons of doing so highlighting the importance of the lore, verisimilitude and of course how to make all of this fun for the players.

Historical gaming is full of potential pitfalls, but also opportunities. Roleplaying games set in the history of the real world also throw up challenging social issues, which many gamers ignore. Here I try to thread through the advantages and disadvantages of historical RPGs to find a common ground of fun, without disrespecting the past. - @grimjim

This writer and game designer is an amazing and prolific video creator with more than 2K subscribers on Youtube and a pretty neat Website where he discusses games, humor, politics and all sort of analysis but mostly nerd stuff that's has been going strong for more than 7 years now, a great achievement taking into account the great quality of his work!

Hitchhiking to paradise - Wadi Bani Khalid, Oman

With the next post, we will embark in an adventure with @worldcapture in the hot, HOT! really hot! land of Oman in search of an oasis in a mountain, an exciting trip, and whats better he did it hitchhiking! In the journey he showed us vast arid but beautiful landscapes, friendly people and a paradisiacal oasis hidden between mountains, every shot is a bit o a fun tale!

Traveling as an Individual in Oman can be tricky and sometimes also be very difficult. But it's possible and way more exciting in my opinion. Traveling around with a group in a comfortable AC cooled Van sounds nice but wasn't the thing I was looking for. - @worldcapture

Traveling and photography are one and the same for this author, his camera is there at all times and is the tool he uses to bring us most of his awesome content, he also is the host of the #PeoplePhotography contest which consists of awarding great photographer for capturing people with their cameras.

[VIDEO] Changelings #30 - Making Foam Tentacles! Cheap DIY Horror Prop

Images property of @distantsignal

What about some tentacles? Yeah, like boneless extremities, may or may not be slimy, you don't know how to make them? Well, fear not because @distantsignal is here with a video tutorial on how to make those mostly disturbing appendices, you'll be shown which ingredients to get mixed and prepare to achieve the ultimate tentacleness either you need props for a film project or you're on early preparations for the spooky month! and did you checked that edition work? NUTS!

Making some tentacles to test whether they're better for hero shots or more background action for both the sizzle and the short film. I'll get into it a little more in Changelings #31 on how things went, what the experience was like and how the tentacles fared when trying to introduce movement. These versions of a tentacle are quite easy. If you fray the hemp rope the tentacles become much more vine-like. You can use that for jungle props! - @distantsignal

This blog is run by Phil Abetacola an independent film director-writer and producer who focuses his content around his #Changelings a series of videos where he talks about everything involved with the film industry, making props, writing tips and many more, plus he's really enthusiast of the crypto world so his post is really Steem-friendly!

We were blown away by the visual part of a video clip and now is time to be melted down by the musical aspect of it because is time for @aidarojaswriter to sing and perform El triste by José José yeah, he's technically a JoJo a piece that will get you drowning in melancholy, you don't understand Spanish? Oh, it doesn't matter she's good enough to hit you with the proper feelings either way!

When I was just a little girl, I always wanted to be an artist. Designer? Actress? Musician? I didn't know it. Then, my mother and her music inspired me, I started to sing every day (since 8 years old), I was the singing girl in the school. And at 15 years I wrote my first song. Music saved my soul from the darkness, my music is my pain, my colors, my lights. My lyrics, a big part of my thoughts. - @aidarojaswriter

This lady here is a musical jewel, her voice and guitar playing are always sweet and full of sentiment in every performance she shares with us here in the platform, with more than a year giving the best of her she's looking to record her first album soon and I can't wait!
