The small jump/dive should be kept imo, I'm not sure what you are trying to do but it definitely increases the players options in mobility. If you are making an obstacle course, some obstacles could be hanging which would kill the player if he jumps too high.
yea i agree. i think i'm gonna keep the forward jumps. you can think of it as an obstacle course. only it's in a dungeon/hell and there's dire consequences of not making the right jumps.
i might change the rolling animation tho because i can't think of a way to fit it into the controller, environment, and the general concept of the game. but small jumps will definitely be there.
