ONECENT Daily Report - Profits Update & Free Upvote - Day 62 of 200
Firstly, the numbers: our total value is currently about 1637 STEEM (+2 STEEM), including 592 STEEM within Steem Engine and a total of 15203 tokens in play. This gives ONECENT an ABV of about 10.77 STEEM cents (0.1077 STEEM), slightly up on yesterday.
As I mentioned in the last post, I've been away for a few days for administrative purposes - was certainly not a holiday! So we rather skipped Days 60 and 61 and we're on day 62.
Although not a lot appears to have happened in my absence, there are the first buds of some positive developments. There is a large order for MAPR tokens, so we finally have users who have calculated the inherent value in these tokens. Although I never intended MAPR to be classed as a stablecoin, it does have many of the characteristics sought by investors: it is backed by assets and has a fairly stable interest rate.
In two days ONECENT will see another batch of STEEM powered down, plus MAPR will have increased slightly in price after their Monday distribution, so our own token will look much better then.
Income from posts continues to be rather unpredictable as many factors remain in flux: the reward pool is obviously decreasing due to a portion going to SPS but also appears to be increasing due to a continued drop in activity.
I still maintain that it is a big mistake to show rewards in Dollars as it gives completely the wrong picture of how the Steem blockchain works. I hope those who continue to work within the Steem economy will eventually see some benefits in fiat Dollars, but that's not how the coins are made.
