i360 first look
As I'm visiting my brother in London and I completely forgot to take the gadget out on the rest of the trip, it was time to figure out how this 360 degree camera works.
It turns out you can attach it to your iPhone via the built in lightning connector, and optionally use it remotely via Bluetooth.
To view the captured image you can either reattach the unit to your phone, or load up the SD card files.
So far I've only captured interior stills and video, but it seems easy to use and provides nice output.
Off-phone seems the most effective, as you don't get as much of a weird spot where your hand was :)
Also included is a little holder that offers protection and a short stand, but the camera does have a tripod mount thread also.
I'll report back with a full review after fully putting it through it's paces!
Very nice. I'm a television broadcaster. And we use it live. It gives a very nice snapshot and live video. @makerhacks
Ooh that sounds cool, how do you use it live?
We designed the studio to be able to see the whole area, fixed with a vertical monopod. And It can be watched on the web during live broadcast. @makerhacks
Oh so you can stream from it?
Yeah. The i360 pro model we use
Now live. Do you want link?
Looks like there’s the option on mine too maybe, will try it when back home :)
