Robert "SpongeBob" SquarePants (born in SquarePants House, Bikini Bottom, July 14, 1986, age 30) is the main fictional character of Nickelodeon animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. He is made by marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg, and is filled with a voice by Tom Kenny. He is a naive and rather stupid sea sponge who works as a grill chef in the fictional underwater town of Bikini Bottom.

SpongeBob is a grill chef at the Krabby Patty Krusty Krab restaurant, where he has always been the best exemplary employee. Its neighbors, Squidward Tentacles are SpongeBob's neighbors and coworkers at Krusty Krab and Patrick Star, SpongeBob's good friends and neighbors as well.
