Birthday cake, candles and laughter ........
What kind of fun cake to make for our son's birthday? Yes, he is a grown up, a husband and dad of 2 little boys. All the more reason to bake a cake.
We went into a creative think tank mode!
"What can you create Ben? ....... Hmmm, I know ....... how about you make a lawnmower. The boys love it, they mow the rug in the lounge room, the cement downstairs, and constantly want to push the dad's big lawnmower.
Ben mulled over my 'creative out of the box' idea for a second, "Okay, I'll look at google."
And voila, the best lawnmower cake ever materialised. The dad took it in his stride, the boys's eyes popped out of their heads, the marshmallows were gobbled up by one 3 year old, the candles were blown out a few times in the midst of excited children, adult chatter sharing a morning tea and coffee.

I love the 3 year old's little hand sneaking a marshmallow. So very typical of children, hahaha.
