End of the first workshop

The day has come ...

The day has arrived since very early in the morning I met with my students for the last rehearsal, the presentation time was 4:30pm in the same community to a couple of streets where the children received artistic instruction. The day was very busy analyzing the weather as the previous days had rained heavily, I didn't want anything to go wrong so I quickly looked up the weather forecast on the internet and luckily the day was sunny and very hot.

After the rehearsal the children felt very uncomfortable and nervous, it was their first presentation, we met and gave them encouragement and encouragement to take the experience as something new and good for their lives. After talking for a while and reviewing all the activities in detail, the schedule was adjusted to a series of activities that I will break down below.

Conclusion ...

The work was a success and the neighbors of neighborhood that were called days before, attended, children, adolescents and elderly enjoyed the final product of the first workshop that was held in the community of the chick in the city of San Felix in Venezuela, it should be noted that San Felix is one of the most violent cities in Venezuela with high rates of violence. The workshop of puppets in the community was born as a proposal to sensitize the youngest who are more likely to engage in criminal acts, the workshop began just in the week where the security forces had killed 5 minors requested for armed robbery and homicide.

The 23 children who participated in the workshop were selected from the families with the greatest economic problems and clearly identified as families with episodes of family violence. At the beginning it was a little difficult to carry out the classes, unfortunately I had to disincorporate one of the members, a 12-year-old boy who, in spite of treating him with love and affection, responded with violence towards me and the other members, after being rude and having beaten some children I had to remove him. Except for that bad time, everything flowed exceptionally, the children had a lot of fun from the beginning until the last day.

The experience of this first workshop has left me with many life lessons, I always learn new things in each workshop. I have to adjust the times better, although at first, I established a limit of 15 days of workshop activities, the workshop lasted 37 days, i.e. 1 month and some days. The most gratifying thing was the confirmation of the puppet theatre group "el pollito", this is perhaps the most important part since it was possible to establish a stable group and that is part of the goals. In addition, the children learned in a pleasant way everything about the blockchain.

New goal...

Due to the success of this first puppet workshop, a few weeks ago I made a publication expressing my desire to continue making the workshop in other communities that meet the characteristics to compete and make the workshop of manufacture and manipulation of puppets. I will expand the range of action of this activity, establishing the possibility of carrying out this activity both in Venezuela and in other parts of South America, everything will depend on the support of the backers, in a few days I will make official the beginning of the next campaign, as it was extended and I have part of the resource to make the next workshop, is $ 171.47 approximately at the time of writing this publication and would subtract $468.53 to buy the necessary materials from the next workshop.
