@bettervision touching lives at Kwakokrom

The last town that we visit is a town called Kwakokrom, it’s not so large a town and is has quite a small population. Reception from town folks were so welcoming we did not even want to leave, nonetheless we still perform our functions, after all that’s our reason for being there.

At this juncture volunteer were quite jaded and yearning to be with their families for Christmas festivities so things were sped up, teams were segregated as usual into different teams based on the services they were to render and patients were also group in that fashion to facilitate things.

The whole process was just amazing and worth it, as lots of lives were touched and lot of beautiful things came to being. To all volunteers, supporters and loved ones both on the blockchain and out there we say ayekoo, thank you and God bless you for your efforts.

I would like to take the opportunity of the new year to say a big thank to the fundition team especially mimie and @pennsif for their immense support and guidance and to @adollaraday for continuously supporting throughout 2018 and helping us to achieve our goals and aims, may the good Lord Bless you all even as you continue to support us touch lives and visions out there.

What is @bettervision about?

@bettervision is is a project initiated by @nattybongo and friends to give back to the society the knowledge and skill acquired through the Optometric Studies in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.It is an outreach system where we visit the less privileged communities to offer free eye screening services and education to the people within the community

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
To reduce or prevent vision loss through diseases such as glaucoma, cataract and refractive errors.

To enlighten the majority of the Ghanaian population about the importance of proper visual care.

To conscientize people on the need for regular eye checks

To get more people to have their wards screened within the Critical periods of a Child’s Vision Development; thus from ages 3 to till about 10 years.

To help the blind and people with low vision live a better life within the society through education of the general public to stop stigmatization.

Our greatest gratitude goes to @fundition @adollaraday @surfyogi @girlsfoundation @bleepcoin @ackza @indigoocean @kasho and @wafrica for helping to make the aims and objectives of @bettervision a reality.
