Today was really an amazing day for Earth Ranger, Mbuh Faith who received her Earth Rangers Volunteer Certificate as well as back to school supplies comprising of books, pens, pencils, colored pencils, drawing book etc.

Once more, we want to congratulate Mbuh Faith for dedicating her time, talent and energy as a community service volunteer.
Faith’s mother was very inspired by the actions of her daughter and she encouraged her to keep serving.

Faith's friends were also there to cheer her up as she received her certificate. All of them got a pen and a pencil from @mr-greens to encourage them to become community servants.

Some of the major accomplishments of the Earth Rangers of the Steemit Action Summer Holiday Program (SASH-Program) include;

• Planted 1000 trees in the Sacred Forest of Nkwen Palace, Chomba Community Forest and St Dominic Monastery
• Organized a plastic drive and collected 2105 Plastic bottles which were later on recycled into tree nursery pots, umbrella buckets, vertical gardens, etc
• Nursed 500 trees
• Produced 50 crafts (bracelets)with environmental advocacy messages
• Learned about environmental issues and sensitized more than 10,000 people to take environmental protection action

The Greens is a grassroots environmental organization that strives to educate, inspire and engage young people to take action to combat climate change and be at the forefront of biodiversity conservation and waste management.

Founded in 2010, @thegreens have been able to use arts, sports, media and ICT to educate and engage more than 10,000 young people in Green Poetry, Green Music, Green Arts, Green Radio, and Conservation Champions League.

@thegreens have created 04 Community Tree Nurseries, planted more than 200,000 trees and is currently engaged in the Conservation of the Bamenda Highlands Forests.

@thegreens is currently engaged in Waste Management (Waste Business Hub); Plastic Waste Upcycling, Tire Upcycling and Textile Waste Recycling via @ecodesigns
