Can you do what I can?
Just sit perfectly still and move with a plant from the south to the north?
Can you do what I can?
Lay lots of eggs and make sure you get rid of the father?
A protein diet is what I’m after.
I eat insects and I’m also a sexual cannibal.
Who says a guy doesn’t taste like more?

Can you do what I can?
Sit very still and pretend to be a twig, yet see everything?
I have five eyes—two in front and three on top—
With them, I can judge depth well.

Can you do what I can?
Grow from minuscule to 25 centimeters without being noticed?

Sometimes I look like I’m praying, but I’m certainly not.
I just fold my legs in and enjoy the shade or a bit of wind—
Until I spot something interesting and… jump.
