Interactions between wasps

I assume wasps, just like bees and ants communicate in a way.
A few weeks ago I made wasps traps out of two plastic bottles and a jar. I filled them with some mulberry marmalade and some water. The reason is because they try to enter the house. It's hard to set a foot outside (and get inside).
It took weeks till the wasps, or at least one, decided to have a closer look but from that moment on more started to crawl inside.
The result a bottle filled with dead wasps and no marmalade left.
The second trap placed elsewhere turned out not to be attractive. At least not at that spot. The rain had added some water to it but I decided to use it.

Like you can see there's a layer of dead wasps on the bottom (drowned in marmalade) and some wasps try to find a way out at the spot where the two parts of the bottle are shoved into each other (I put tape around it).

At first (yesterday) there was one wasp trying now there's a bunch. I wonder how they communicate. In which way do their interactions influence the rest? Are those who cannot get out not warning the rest?

As you can see a part didn't crawl inside. I have no idea if they plan too or try to hid the road and warn the rest of the best. Perhaps to have a bite or stay out of the way and spare their lives?
