I have a land turtle not sea turtle, I have never eaten turtle meat at least consciously.
On many occasions I have eaten strange meats such as small caiman, deer, rabbit, and others but not turtle meat, and if I am told it is turtle meat I refuse to eat it.

No, it translates as turtle. I am the one who clarifies, because the translation is different for the two. Sea turtle and land turtle.
The word tortoise means "land turtle" that's why I asked.
