I always teach my students to use the local language because it is their mother language. Indonesian language is only used when meeting people who don't understand your mother language. Like countries in Europe that always preserve their mother language not English.
I understand. It's good for the brain too, to switch languages. People who can are more intelligent. They say it's good to raise children this way.
I don't think European countries feel English enough to speak English. Why should they? We only "agreed" (no we did not) to adopt one language together (which many of us don't speak 😂).
