Hi Tristancarax, I too have had trouble with my tenses...and with my back. If you have a broom the handle of which unscrews you can unscrew it and use it to help your back (and neck and meridians and organs). I'll be posting videos on how to do that soon and will let you know when if you are interested. They'll be here and on my 5minutes2feelgood.com website (in the process of being built). I haven't had a lot of time to read a lot of postings (although I'm making the effort) and I'm learned a lot by reading your post so thank you and thank you for having read and voted for mine. 🌼

Sure, let me know.

I do do Yoga, Qigong, and Taijiquan. These help but there is something else going on. Ex-rays have shown mild degenerative disc disease in my lower back. Will be going for MRI soon. We'll see how that turn out.

Glad you found the time to read this short. I struggle with the same thing. So much to read!

So much to read indeed! Fish oils and bone broths would help I believe. (Help your disk - uh, and maybe for the reading too, lol)

I don't think your mind is broken at all. that is why most published works have gone through many edits. And still might have errors.

I hope that you find help for your back pain!!

Your very sweet, @mariannewest. I will take the time to work on my editing skills.

I hope so too. To bad Medi-Cal doesn't cover stem cell therapy. That looks like it could heal me, but then the insurance companies don't make money off of me.

It always boils down to money, doesn't it...

That is really one the saddest parts about living in the U.S. Greedy rules.

Never noticed anything wrong with your tenses. Or maybe I am broke in my brain too? Lol. Hope you get the cure soon for your back! It is not fun, I know.

ahh for ALL of us who suffer the unseen illnesses. This issue is beyond crisis. I'm sorry about your Mom.

I finally found a doctor who knows what's wrong with my hip and is attempting to get that rectified with the surgery. So far, so good. It takes a long time to recover, apparently, but if, in the end it takes away my sciatic pain once and for all, I am all in! I certainly hope that you can find somebody who can help you out.

As far as switching tenses in writing goes, it's a very common writer problem and it takes practice and practice and practice to overcome. There are some good support groups on here that will review your work and point out when you switch tenses. I went through my last posting and had to change tenses on some of the things I had written.

I wish I had something to help you along your way to Africa, but I am currently on short term disability for the surgery. Good luck and keep writing!
