Day 192: 5 Minute Freewrite: Sunday - Prompt: bamboo

THE BAMBOO

Bamboo are tall, woody grasses found in many forests in tropical regions. There are many species of birds and a species of mammal from the Atlantic Forest that have a strong association with bamboo, and some seem to depend on bamboo for their survival. The bamboo will offer animals, including food (seeds, sprouts, leaves, insects, etc.), in addition to covering them from their enemies.
On the other hand: if you have a bamboo mat in your house you should be watered regularly, but always taking care that your roots are not submerged in water for a long time. If you are in temperate climates you should water them three or four times a week in case the temperatures are very high. Most of the time it is in spring when they shoot new shoots. To prevent it from spreading freely and colonize a large area of the garden, it is best to place a barrier to prevent its spread.
