Day 146: 5 Minute Freewrite: Thursday - Prompt: Monkey (my take)

Five minutes writing about a prompt, today Monkey.

Her mouth opened wide and her eyes were rolling back. Her smile turned into a grin and it was cramped into her face. No emotions tough, it was her muscles own choice. She started trembling slightly, turned her head back and spread her arms. A growling noise coming out of her mouth accompanied by coughing and a deep laughter, which were the sign: Monkey was unfolding!

Still sitting on a chair Lisas legs started cramping and peddling and she fell to the floor and rolled around while still making the noises. That's it then, she's in and monkey is out.

She's now deep down inside herself. No more consciousness, no more personality and no more control. The monkey has taken over.

After inhaling the drug she felt a cold stitch in her lounges that spread over her entire body and flashes of light in all colours tingled her nerves and turned her reality into a jungle of crystals triggering the most basic of all possible feelings. Hot, cold, wet, dry, sad, happy, hungry and anger. Every basic feeling a person can have now flushed through her vessels, her bones and her organs and culminated in her brain where the urge of her deepest instincts turned everything she physically was into rage.

Suddenly she jumped up. Hit around with her arms and with her legs. Screaming, running and kicking everything she could. The animal within her was now fully in control. And it was raging and grabbed for anything she consciously and subconsciously ever wanted in her life and this at once in a pure outburst of anger and rage and screams and will.

But where was she now?

The more the monkey took over, the more her conscious felt a serenity as it she never thought possible to feel. While outside the storm of her urges was raging, she found herself in a place of pure joy and serenity. All weight was gone. A garden like state on a Sunday afternoon in the summer with cake. Nothing to bother, nowhere trouble in sight. It all was filled with the purest relaxing and calmness no drug in the world ever allowed her to feel.

Clearer in her mind than ever she wandered through this garden Eden within her mind, flying like a bird and singing full of joy about the lightness of life.

Outside, the storm was still going. Monkey destroyed the bottles, ripped the drawers apart and kicked the content around. The feet were bloody, but the rage didn't mind. Kicking the wall was breaking a toe. It left a hole in the wall, but that wasn't all. Dirt and excrement and blood followed the rage. The monkeys urges were just too much.

Crashing at the door that was locked, then attacking the mirror next to it, everything without control. The mirror broke. It fell and hurt the possessed body even more. Than three jumps with shouts like a monkey, the name of the stuff, the window was reached. Monkey hit her head against it again and again. Monkey knew outside was the world. The place where the all the needs and urges are met. He hit and screamed and hit it again. The window was strong, but it wasn't almighty.

It broke and the monkey had done what her instincts were demanding to do. One last scream before he jumped to be free, just like Lisa was in her mind.

No good ending for this, Lisa ripped out of her dream. Took over the wreck of her self and before hitting the ground she realized the lesson:

It's only one that can be free.
