Late Night Musings 🍃🍂
Just sharing this sweet random note from one of my best friends (sent through FB messenger). Its very randomness had a magical way of soothing the weariness creeping in -- a fresh impetus of gaining a second wind.
Indeed, words have power! Every single word used in our discourses hold a vast amount of weight. Hence, it is important to always be mindful of our thoughts and our words.
Sometimes, it is difficult to stay positive, especially when frustrations set in -- our mind gets clouded with negative thoughts and our emotions overpower our rationality.
But this is what I have learned -- being hurt doesn't give us the right to hurt back the people who have caused us pain. Forgive, even if they didn't own up to what they didn't do right.
And instead, spread more love and joy. Let us fill our hearts with these, that for no reason other than their overabundance, we can't help but to cascade such love and joy to others.
The power to decide how we use our words lies in us. The simple choice is between good or bad. May we always choose the former and be cognizant of the latter.

I love this. Learned this the hard way. Took me long to actually do this. When I was young I believed in the "an eye for an eye" philosophy.
It took a lot of heartbreaks and late night musings and a great deal of maturity before I finally let go and forgive.

Regardless of the time, what matters is you've done it. Forgiving is not easy, especially when those who have hurt you weren't even sorry for hurting you. But we forgive naman not FOR them, but in order to free ourselves from the anger and burden within. And yes, it needs a great deal of maturity to be able to do that. ☺ Thanks for dropping by sa mema ko ate Rome. 😂
