When we walk towards the light
we can clearly see our own shadow
following our every step,
looking for a chance to grab us by the heels and drag us back into darkness.

And yet, if there were not a shadow, we would not know how to tell what is light, and what is dark!

Yes. Without darkness this experience we know so little about would also be lacking all the challenge and excitement, wouldn't it?
But that doesn't mean we have to give in to darkness, we just have to face it in the right place: Inside of ourselves. That's one of the few things I believe I know for sure.
Often we perceive darkness in others just because we fail to see that it's our own shadow falling onto them, making them appear evil and lost in darkness.
